Where Is She?! - Part 2
by Kayla Parent
I can’t hear the baby anymore…
God, it’s cold down here.
And so dark I can't see a thing.
Well, you shouldn’t be going down there!
Mom, will you cool it please?
Oh great. The light on the stairs isn’t working.
Just my luck!
Please be careful, Tiffany.
I’m fine, I’m using my cell phone light.
Geez, I haven’t been down here in a long time.
This place is really creepy…
It’s just a basement.
A place for people to store their junk.
So WHY would dad bring a newborn down here?!
It’s so dark and cold…
Something doesn’t feel right.
What do you mean?
Idk… something’s just… off.
Ugh and there’s a terrible smell!
What are you and dad keeping down here?!
I’m literally gagging.
What do you see?
Nothing but boxes right now.
I’m heading away from the smell...
I feel like I’m going to be sick.
I wish you would have waited for me.
I really didn’t want you in the basement.
Too late.
I’m going to check the laundry room…
Oh well, this is great.
The light in here doesn’t work either.
What the…
I think I see something moving.
What is it?
I don’t know…
It’s on the floor by the washing machine.
WTF.
I’m going to move closer.
Please be careful.
OH MY GOD
It’s the baby!
She's swaddled in blankets but she's freezing!
Why would dad put his baby on a cold cellar floor?!????
If it means that much to you…
Put her in a safer spot and then go upstairs.
Leave her be until I get there.
I'm not leaving my sister on a concrete floor in the dark!
Stop calling her that!
That baby is a mistake!
Maybe so but she's a human being.
She could have killed herself down here!
And she's clearly terrified!
I’m seriously disgusted with dad’s behavior.
It's not your problem.
WELL WHERE IS DAD?!
This is his problem!
Don't worry about dad right now.
Concentrate on staying safe.
I'm bringing her upstairs.
Who knows if dad bothered to feed her.
Jessica may hear her if you take her upstairs!
She already knows the baby is here, mom.
Just like your father.
BTW…
We really need to do something about this basement.
It’s creepy as hell and smells awful.
Close the door so the smell doesn’t get into the rest of the house.
I did.
I’ve got the baby.
I hope she doesn’t start crying.
I don’t need that crazy homewrecker trying to bust down the door again.
What's Jessica doing now?
Hold on, let me see if I can find her…
Ugh!
She’s in the backyard, sobbing.
She's repeating dad's name over and over.
She's really lost it!
She deserves those tears.
Tiffany, I'm sorry.
I'm just... still a little hurt over everything.
I shouldn't take it out on you and the baby.
I understand.
This can't be easy for you.
Neither of us should have to deal with this.
Hopefully Jessica will stay put until the police arrive.
Where are the police?
I feel like it's been forever.
I know but just hang tight.
Does dadfkdjkjhskd
Huh?
Tiffany?
What's going on?!
Tiffany honey, answer me!
OMG mom
Please help us!
Jessica was in the kitchen window!
Staring at us…
Then she just opened her mouth…
And started screaming!
I ran to the attic to hide….
I'm scared Mom
The look in her eyes...
There's something wrong with her.
I know, honey.
Your father and I have been trying to deal with it ourselves.
I'm so sorry this is now affecting you.
The baby is screaming.
I don't know what to do!
Keep an eye on Jessica.
Don't lose sight of her.
I'm looking out the attic window but I can't find her…
She's not in the front or backyard.
I hope she left.
Don't let your guard down.
Jessica is a sneaky one.
She can't be in the house...
I would have heard something.
Maybe she's off crying somewhere again.
I'm passing Luke's grocery.
I'll be there in a few minutes.
The baby's calmed down…
Mom, I have to call the police.
Maybe they have the wrong address.
They don't.
I've talked to them twice.
There must be something holding them up.
Wait…
I think I hear footsteps on the roof!
Holy crap
My heart is going a mile a minute!
I can't breathe.
Get out of the attic!
It’s her!
She's by the window!
Tiffany RUN!
Get out of there!
Tiffany?!
Oh God, honey what happened?!
Please answer me!
It was her.
She shot through the attic window.
Oh my God!
She started climbing inside…
I ran downstairs and out the back door.
Now I'm hiding in the backyard.
Mom, I can't deal with this.
I'm beyond freaking out.
Please! Help me!
